The Jesus Cross Onyx Ring is a band in 925 sterling silver carved with the figure of Jesus carrying the cross, a scene repeated in European relief sculpture for centuries, and set with a polished black onyx. The onyx is left plain against that detail, an unbroken black field beside a densely cut scene, and the contrast gives the carving its depth.
