The Forse Chain Necklace is a chain in 925 sterling silver made from elongated oval links that interlock in one continuous row, a form drawn from the working chain used at sea. Each link keeps the same open oval shape, so the pattern repeats without variation down the whole length.
The links are set flat rather than turned against one another, which gives the chain its even, ladder-like run and keeps it lying in a single plane at the neck. The polished surface follows that line without interruption. It closes with a lobster clasp.
