The Ancient Guardians Blank Signet Ring is a 925 sterling silver signet whose rectangular face is carried on two helmeted heads, ancient guardian figures set one on each shoulder to hold the platform up. The face itself is left blank and brushed, with no crest, initial or motif cut into it.
The emptiness is deliberate: a signet is defined by what is engraved on it, and here the engraving is left to the wearer while the guardians supply all of the ornament. The detail sits entirely on the sides. Helmeted guardians stand for protection and inheritance, worn as a symbol rather than as a religious piece.
