The Byzantine Chain Bracelet is a bracelet in 925 sterling silver in the Byzantine weave, the link pattern that takes its name from the chainwork of the Byzantine Empire. It is not a row of links but a stack of small knots, each one made by folding a pair of links back through the pair that came before.
Because every knot is locked in two planes at once, the chain has no weak axis: it cannot flatten out and it cannot twist into a kink. It closes with a lobster clasp and is worn as a chain rather than a symbolic or religious piece.
